Reverend Dr. Scott Paeth

Edgebrook Community Church is pleased to announce that we have entered into a covenant with Reverend Doctor Scott R. Paeth, our new Designated Pastor. Reverend Paeth is well known and appreciated by us at Edgebrook Community Church, since he has served as our substitute minister many times over the past few years when our former pastor was on sabbatical or on vacation. Scott exudes spirituality in a very heartfelt and meaningful way and will encourage it in the congregation. His academic and intellectual accomplishments are numerous, including his tenure as a professor of theology at DePaul University and the many texts in which he has been an author, co-author, or editor. Scott is a Congregationalist at heart and looks forward to being an integral collaborator with our Director of Music, Alan Hommerding, and with our Church membership and friends to encourage thoughtful worship, spirituality, and community involvement. His first day in the pulpit will be Sunday, June 6, which will also be our first day of in-person worship after more than a year worshipping online!

Please join us at Edgebrook Community Church on June 6th at 10:00am for the service and celebration, as we welcome Reverend Paeth to our community!

Guests are always warmly welcomed at our church!

We hope you take the time to pray with us soon. If you have questions, please reach out to a greeter or anyone you see to let them know you’re visiting. We’d be delighted to answer your questions and help you get to know us better. You are welcome to join us for coffee and fellowship after worship but you’re also welcome to slip in and out if you so desire!

Worship begins at 10:00 am in the sanctuary. From Independence Day through Labor Day, we meet in the air conditioned comfort of the Heritage Room.

Parking is available in the lot on Hiawatha and Loron and on the street along either side of the facility.

Children are welcome at worship, which includes a time for children after which they are dismissed to Church School.

Nursery is located in the Heritage Room and is attended each week.

Communion is celebrated monthly. All are welcome to partake.
